We’ve already seen our share of crazy morons on MTV reality shows, but none of us were prepared for the ultimate Antichrist aka Farrah’s mom Debra. Debra is easily the most useless, pathetic, and “awfulest” (thank you Whitney, evidentally being a pregnant teenager comes hand in hand with a Shakespearean vocabulary!) mother of all time. This clearly includes all of the new mothers we’ve met this season on 16 & Pregnant even considering the fact that Farrah refuses to breast feed (despite the obvious need to protect a newborn from disease) as it may make her tits sag.
Debra actually agreed with this
Debs has a list of incredible skills: looking like a tranny, styling her hair like Farrah Fawcett (RIP), and hitting her teenager while screaming like a banshee. Flaws (though few and far between) include being too immature to hear a Q/A about childbirth between her daughter and the doctor, being unable to watch her granddaughter’s birth, being unable to call Farrah’s father (ex-husband?) after Farrah’s water broke, hating Ford Focuses, and refusing to help Farrah with Sophia (Farrah’s baby girl).
At this point you should be like hold up, time out… rewind to that last one. Yeah… her mom flat out said that she would not help AT ALL with Sophia. Reasoning? “I need my sleep.” WOW. Mom of the year award, right here. Step aside Kate Gosselin.

I disagree completely! That baby is Farrah’s responsiblity not Farrah’s mother. Farrah decided to have sex unprotected. What do you want? The grandmother raise the baby while the teenage mom goes out and parties. Get real! That will just encourage her to do it again because there was no consequence to her action. Her Mother is making her taking responsibilty for what she has done.
Furthermore, it’s perfectly fine not to breast feed. Children are still healthy on formula. Yes, there is benefits from breast milk. So lay off with this… she is hurting her baby crap!

I saw that episode. The mom is so mean.
Farrah’s mom was not right in giving her Farrah’s false information about breast feeding however besides that she was correct. If she is buy the daughter the car or paying for the car insurance after the Farrah’s crashed up her first car the mom should have a say in the type of car she is contributing her money too. Farrah’s was not paying for the car insurance if she did not want her mom’s opinion she should pay for everything herself.
Also the mom should not stay up all night for her grandchild when you spoil teen moms they are more likely to have another child.
Farrah’s needs to stay up with the baby it is no one else’s responsibility besides stepparents. The grandmother should get her sleep. I thought it was great of the Farrah’s mother to allow her Farrah to live there.
If it were my daughter who decided to have a family she would have to raise her family out of my house as I will have to raise my family outside of my parent’s house. As long as Farrah is living off of her parents she will have to deal with their rules.
I dunno, at least Farrah’s mom forced her to live with the consequences of her choice. Farrah chose to have the baby. Farrah chose to keep her baby. Her mom only made her live with a choice she made.
Farrah asking her mom to help out (so that she could go out with her friends) was selfish. These dumb girls that keep their babies need moms who don’t coddle them.
With the sole exception of Catelynn, all of the girls on this show are unbelievable morons.
Farrah was inexcusably rude to her mother during her pregnancy. I believe that she was ignorant to the fact that her child is her responsibility. It is foolish for teenage girls there days to even fathom the thought of their parent(s) taking care of their child(ren). They are not the ones who chose to take on the responsibility of a child.
With a baby girl on the way, how dare Farrah demand a car! Necessities come first. Do what’s best for your CHILD. She deserved to be slapped.
After watching this episode of MTV’s “16 and Pregnant”, I feel that I have been exposed to the most horrific situation a newborn baby could be in. An arrogant and selfish mother!
I’m not sure she was asking for the car in a completely selfish way. It seems like her mother forced Farrah to depend on her for rides everywhere (and keep in mind that as a mother she now has to drive to the store for her daughter). Considering the fact that Farrah’s mom wouldn’t even watch her granddaughter for an hour, I doubt that she was especially helpful/considerate about helping Farrah with rides. What do you think?

Im sure everyone’s mother yelled at them at one point like that in their lives and especially cause she was rudely talking to her mother a way a 16 year old shouldn’t dare speak to her mother like that. I think that her mother is a good mother. She backed her up when she decided to keep the baby, she was taking her to get the car even tho she wasn’t working at the time. She made sure the father wasn’t harassing her daughter. She helped her daughter during labor and cut the cord. She didnt kick her daughter out when she got pregnant. She stood her ground when her daughter was back talking her. She told her daughter that she wouldnt help to much because thats HER child NOT her mothers why should she babysit while she sleeps im sure she hears the baby in the night…but im sure she did watch the baby plenty of times. And farrah has EVERY right to do with her child and body as she pleases.

It’s unbelievable to see how insensitive people are about this. And for those girls that are giving Farrah a hard time, should look at themselves in the mirror, she isn’t perfect and neither are you. She made a mistake at 16, and she’s taking responsibility for it, unlike most girls her age. and I give kudos to the girls that were on the show, and unlike Jen, it takes a lot of courage, growing up, and taking care of a baby, while maintaining a household, and continuing their education, while you’re still a teenager.

Yes, I didn’t breastfeed. Does that mean I am a bad mother? I should be put down? No! It was my choice as it was Farrah’s choice. And not for you or anybody else to judge her and put a picture up like this. It’s not for everyone and yes there are benefits. Farrah loves her child and is taking good care of her. Perhaps if you had read the article, which is actually about Farrah’s negligent and selfish mother, you would see that I am not calling Farrah a terrible mother because she did not breastfeed. I am calling Farrah a terrible mother because the reason her (AND her mother, who has had at least two children herself) didn’t want to breastfeed because it would make her tits saggy. The entire conversation did not include the fact that breastfeeding could be painful and difficult, which I understand is true. Farrah’s mother is a loving, devoted, and traditional person, mtv producer’s entice people on these shows to the extreme, and cut and splice, so badly that those in the show dont speak their mind, the producers create what they say.
The producers force you to say what they want you to say, remember, these people signed a legally binding contract stating that they will do what is asked by them from the producers.

Im a mother and I only breastfed for about a month.I quit because of the pain and also because my son wasn’t getting enough milk. With that said, I don’t think it makes u a bad mom if u don’t breast feed…no matter what the reason may be.
Also, I think debrah is a very good mother to farrah and puts up with entirely way too much. Farrah seems ungrateful and takes advantage of her moms good heart. Farrah needs to start thinking more about sophia then all the guys that don’t seems to care too much for her.

Obviously the person who wrote the article only watched one episode of the show. The one where Farrahs mom was fed up with Farrahs selfishness. First of all her mom wanted her to give the baby away for adoption. Farrah thought it would be all be easy and the baby was some type of doll or something and she would be able to continue her life as usual. She didnt listen to her mother and now she tries to make her mother watch her child all the time and is very ungrateful for all the help she gets. I’m not sure where you’re getting “NONE” because Ebony breastfed for about two weeks and quit because it hurt. Nobody else spoke up about trying… looks like despite just giving birth (known to be the most painful burden), they couldn’t handle breastfeeding.
